We had fantastic and friendly service from Gear Bikes. Four family members – two from USA, two from England – rented bikes (and one set of panniers) for a week to cycle the *John Muir Way*.

When we came in, Sandy could not have been more thorough. He took a good hour to make sure all bikes and helmets were the right fit. He was so friendly and passed on lots of JMW tips.

Joe was also friendly, helpful and responsive, right from the get-go when we first made an inquiry. He was responsive out-of-hours when we wanted to extend the rental by a day.

Really friendly shop, and great prices! For our next Scotland bike trip, we’ll be back. Big thanks to the team.

Me and my son rented a couple of bikes from Gear bikes to do the National cycle route up to Inverness and down the Great Glen, some 300miles. The bikes were ready for us, first thing in the morning and were in perfect condition. The bikes were extremely good value, and were robust enough to tackle certain N7 roads which were not tarred. Joe the owner was super friendly and made sure we had any extra equipement and tools necessary. His can do and solicitous attitude gave my cycling hoilday the perfect start. A credit to Glasgow!

Easiest 5 star review I’ve ever given. Joe, who solved my problem wasn’t sure if he could deal with it but tried absolutely everything and did it on the spot in front of me despite being under pressure to get another job done! The last thing he tried worked and since it was a quick job, he did it for free!

Amongst the best customer service I’ve ever had!!! 6 stars out of 5!

Amazing service, the kindest and most helpful staff! We were served by Joe and he even let us leave our luggage at the store while we cycled around Scotland for a few days, will be renting from here again!

Over the last few months, I’ve had two pairs of shoes fitted, a full bike fit, a saddle fit, and a few other items. On every visit, and with every item, the service I’ve had from Sam, Barry and their colleagues has been absolutely excellent. Helpful, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I can’t recommend them enough.

Great shop to deal with! We are a competitor (in London) but we have worked together with them in making cyclist get their dream bikes. The owner Neil is fantastic to deal with. Highly recommend if you are based in Glasgow or surroundings.

This shop was very helpful when four friends and I flew in to Glasgow for a 3-week bike packing trip. Despite being very busy they helped us with everything we needed including providing bike boxes and air. They even saved us a bunch of money when we were figuring out how to get our bike boxes to the airport by suggesting we take a taxi instead of another option that we had planned.

Great bike shop. Very knowledgable staff, who are happy to help. Level of service when buying my new bike was brilliant, as was the bike fit. Thanks again!

I was very impressed by the level of service I have received from this shop over the past few weeks- particularly with a bike fit I had on Saturday. Barry spent three hours with me setting up my bike for the perfect fit, and since then my knee pain and perrenial discomfort have basically gone away, and I am much faster on the bike. I was also given lots of advice on less related matters such as training and stretching, and had my head tube cut down and head tube bearings lubed for free. The attention to detail and commitment to getting the perfect fit was obvious, and the results have been gleefully enjoyed riding my bike since. I felt like they undercharged me for the excellent service and time I got out of my fit. If you need a bike fit- come here. These people know what they’re doing. Thanks guys!
